And one other quibble related particularly to Library 2.0. One of the things about librarians which makes us different (in a good way, most of the time), is that we have been working with information for a long time, going back thousands of years to the Alexandria Library, and probably beyond. Our history is not something to be ashamed of, we should be proud of it and can draw strength from it. Here's my gripe: the very first Library was Library 1.0. Libraries have changed and developed so much since then. It would be more accurate to say incorporating this latest technology is more about Library 102.0, or if not that, a number significantly higher than 2! I know, Library 2.0 plays nicely into the Web 2.0 dialogue. And for me, this gets to the heart of my concerns, that this 2.0 language is more about marketing than anything else.
